my new go to pack
The size of this pack is perfect. I've used this on several day hikes and 2 weekend trips. I have a jam 70 that I really like also, but I like using the jam 35 as a day pack better than the 70. The 70 seems a little bulky to be used as a day pack. I'll stick with using the jam 70 for week long trips and the 35 for weekend and day trips. I wish golite would get ride of the zip front pocket and put a mesh front pocket instead. I still love this pack the way it is. I will be using this pack more than the 5 other packs that I have. You can't go wrong with this pack.

Can’t say enough good things about this pack!
Have had my Golite Jam 35L for almost three seasons now. Covered a lot of territory on the AT with it. You can’t go wrong with this pack. Durable, well engineered and most of all, extremely light weight. This is the core of any pack system. My only gripe is there should be some mesh type netting up the sides about six inches to help hold stuff along with the pockets. Would like to see some more bright, vibrant colors like flame red or international orange, and a chest pouch to hold lip balm, map and other goodies that you’ll need quick access to without dropping your pack to rummage through things. Going to upgrade this year to the Jam 50L for my Colorado Trail trek. Figure I’ll need a little extra space for groceries on those long segments between resupply. Two thumbs up to the folks at Golite. Keep up the good work guys, you are the bomb!

One Rugged Pack
Just saw the Jam 35L is on sale. Sent the following email to 3 friends this morning (010814). I was trekking in Japan for 3 months last Spring. My email below says it all: If you have been thinking of downsizing your summer pack for weight purposes, I bought the 35 L Jam for my Pilgrimage. At 1#, 10 oz (Now 1 oz more I see) it is one of the lightest if not the lightest and it is one rugged pack. It's simple -- not a lot of zippers and pouches. It's comfortable. I carried it for 3 months thru all sorts of atrocious weather, shoved it under train station benches, stuffed it in small sharp metal lockers and other tight non-fabric friendly spots and it shows no wear. No rips, no loose threads, no sticky zippers. It's rated to carry up to 30# and for a summer pack, that's plenty, even considering all the good food and rum! I got it on sale for $99.99 -- the same price as of now.

Love this pack!!!!!!
This is by far one of the best packs I've used. It's great for hiking day trips but I also use it as my rope bag for days at the crag.

The best bag for any adventure!!
I received this as a present and its my first go lite pack. I have to say I love it! It's perfect size for short weekend trips and when your keeping it ultra lite. I really like the fabric and the pack is very comfy. It's incredibly durable and seems to be good for a multitude of adventures including mountaineering and cycling. Simply love it !!
