Pertex® Microlight Eco

Pertex® Microlight offers some of the softest and lightest fabric available--essential when grams and ounces count.  This offers significant weight reduction while maintaining proper strength and abrasion resistance.  The Pertex Eco series of fabrics feature woven Eco Circle™ recycled polyester yarns, yet still meet Pertex's exacting performance standards.  Both post-consumer and post-industrial waste are recycled to make Pertex Eco.

Our newly developed Tier 1 recycled polyester and nylon materials test to the same high standards as their conventional, non-recycled alternatives.  We use them whenever possible because of the massive reductions in energy use and resource consumption required to produce them vs. the virgin, petroleum-based alternatives.  More information can be found under ‘Performance Technology’ within ‘The Meaning of Lite’ section of this website.

Premium Goose Down Fill

We use premium 800+ and 650+ fill power goose down in different products depending on the design and end-use. Down is still the most thermally efficient insulation available, providing more warmth for its weight than any other insulation available. Down is also superior in its drape, comfort, lifespan, and compressibility. All of our down is renewably managed using a hypoallergenic processing technique.

800 Fill Power
800+ fill power down is more compressible and provides a greater loft to weight ratio than 650+ fill power, and is used in our highest performance down products. We specify a 90/10 cluster to feather ratio for optimum loft and recovery.

650 Fill Power
Our 650+ fill power down is 15% loftier than the industry standard 550+ fill power down and exhibits excellent compressibility and recovery characteristics. We process it to an 85/15 cluster to feather ratio to emphasize maximum recovery from compression.

Very warm and well-designed

This jacket is extremely warm and very well put together. The layering works great and it looks stylish. The zipper is occasionally problematic, but if you're careful it isn't a problem.

Demaree Canyon

This is the trimmest down jacket I own, yet allows good freedom of movement. Really like the two-way zipper in a lightweight piece. Fleece inside pockets is comfy, and quilting keeps all the down in place. Great jacket!

Toasty

Love the fit of this jacket. Most puffys will make you look like the Michelin Man. This jacket is slim fitting. I love the double zippers and tend to unzip the bottom portion a few inches. Let's you sit without the jacket pulling around the waist. Cons: Mine leaks quite a bit.
