This is the best adventure running pack I have found, but I had to modify the waist belt pockets before they worked for me. Unlike previous models, the waist belt slides through the pockets, but is not attached at the front. This allows the pockets to slide back, bunch up, and be too far back for handy access. I tacked the front of the pockets to the waist belt and this fixed the issues. I have used the pack for several Grand Canyon R2R2R trips and a 50 mile Grand Teton circumnavigation. It has very little bounce, fits comfortably, and causes no chafing issues. It's the ideal size for a long day's adventure run.

Bought this to replace a bottom-heavy prior model and this one just works! Carries light loads perfectly, and entices me to pack smart. Everything you need and nothing more (even handles collapsed trekking poles well!).

I bought it to use in place of my hydration pack that is larger and heavier. I walk, hike, xc ski and cycle commute so this is perfect. However, at 5'21/2" with a short torso I had to shorten the straps at the top thus cancelling the warranty but it fits like a glove now with no bounce.
The clip that holds the bladder inside broke the first day I used it. I replaced it with a velcro strap. I may replace the bite valve with a different bite valve that has a better opening so I can share water with my dog.
Otherwise it was a great deal.

Removable hip belt allows you to remove excess weight if you don't use it (I think the chest belt is good enough). The included 3L bladder is great for long, hot hikes that require more water, and the pack has enough room to fit other accessories like sunblock, snacks/lunch, and even more water. Great deal!

I use this pack on my day hikes in the Smoky Mountains. I absolutely love it. The shoulder straps are extremely comfortable and breathe well enough that I do not get hot underneath. I can easily fit more than enough gear inside and a camel's weight in water. On my last trip, a section of my hike required some bouldering, so I slid my trekking poles in the elastic straps and began to climb, it was almost as if I had nothing on my back. I can't emphasize that enough. This pack is comfortable and does not move or bounce, a quality I've yet to find in any other product. Definitely a good buy.
