Tight w/ 3 people, perfect for 2, room to spare...
Strong, lightweight and durable.
works best if using both pieces w/ 6 stakes to really snug it down.
very satisfied

I used to own a Golite Shangri-la 3 – with a custom-made ripstop half-inner made by Ookworks in the UK. I don’t anymore. The tent died – as I almost did – in a cairngorms winter storm earlier this year. Trust me – don’t let anyone tell you that the shangrila 3 is a 4 season shelter – unless by 4 season they mean 'as long as the weather is good'. When the weather is fine, this tent is great: lightweight, very easy to pitch, stable and roomy. When the weather is bad, this tent is weak and potentially life-threatening. I remember all-too vividly the night I spent fighting to keep the tent upright whilst it was both collapsing and filling with spindrift. All the time wishing I’d taken my other, real mountain tent. After the most hellish night of my life I abandoned it and would recommend any other winter mountaineers do the same. For 3 season camping, it's a great tent - but honestly, you don't want to be caught-out in a Shangri-la in extreme weather.

Recieved this tent today. The quality and workmanship is suprisingly good for the price. Cant wait to go camping!
UPDATE: Had this tent out in subfreezing temps last weekend with heavy wind & frost. Everything performed as it should.

For the weight, it's hard to do much better. The pyramid design is efficient and strong, and it's possible to use trekking poles to pitch it. The double wall allows for pitching with either layer, depending on preference and conditions. I'd prefer a little more ventilation with the shell. There's no vestibule, but the size of the tent allows for plenty of gear storage.
My only real criticisms would be the awkward pole placement necessary to actually fit 3 people inside, and the barely adequate tent stakes included. During high winds, tent stakes can be pulled out of the ground.
