For such a large capacity, the Quest is surprisingly lightweight. I haven't had a chance to really weigh this pack down, but can attest that it carries very comfortably at 25-30 lbs, and is easily compressed to carry lighter weights just as effectively.
While there aren't a ton of smaller storage pockets (to cut down on weight, I'm presuming), I find that the 2 hip belt pockets, the removable daypack and the side-pouches are all I need for convenient "easy-grab" storage.
One thing I've noticed is that taller, slim water bottles tend to slip and slide around in the side pockets and could easily fall out. If you're packing water, I'd go for something short and stout, or use carabiners to keep your bottle in place. (32 oz Gatorade bottles are a perfect fit.)

I picked up this pack for my girlfriend when we hiked the JMT. It fit all her gear and a bv500 bear canister. We couldn't have asked for a better pack, and it carried very comfortably in the 25-30lb range. Super durable fabric that showed very little wear after 3 weeks on the trail. We are huge fans of the stretch side pockets which swalled gatorade bottles and platypus softbottles with ease. Our only complain would be the overly stiff hipbelt, as it caused a bit of bruising. What a great pack...sad to see that it's been changed for 2012
